Expect crazy scenes at UFC 304. With the PPV taking place in the north of England, very close to Liverpool, where one Paddy Pimblett proudly represents, the crowd is almost guaranteed to get behind their man.

With that being said, The Baddy has an uphill battle on his hands when he faces the toughest test of his career in #15 King Green (formerly Bobby Green).

Adding to the hype of the fight, the fight at UFC 304 marks the final fight on Pimblett’s contract so he has pressure to perform.

King vs The Baddy

These two men have been on each other’s radar’s for a number of years now. For Green, he knows that Pimblett is a big name with obvious holes in his game. He’ll bring the eyes and with a win over the Englishman, Green could take some of Pimblett’s fans.

With that being said, Green is the perfect opponent for Pimblett. He’s a brash talker, will say outlandish things to get a soundbite and more often than not, trash-talk his opponents in the Octagon. He’ll get in Pimblett’s face at any opportunity and he knows how to sell a fight.

Pimblett is no saint. He’ll give as good as he gets against Green, so expect entertainment throughout.

The Fight Itself

There are clear keys to victory for each man. Pimblett needs to look to crowd Green’s space, not allow him time to get his jab going and try to close the distance. If he can get his hands on his opponent, he needs to look to ground Green. This won’t be an easy task for Liverpool’s own. Green has a 74% takedown defence and hasn’t been grounded since Islam Makhachev got him down in their bout.

For Green, he needs to do the opposite. He can bait Pimblett in with his philly shell style. He fights with his hands very low, enticing his opponents, but he uses his razor-sharp reactions to avoid most strike attempts. He also needs to keep his distance from Pimblett in order to work his jab, using it as a weapon, rather than a set-up shot. He did just this in his last outing at UFC 300. Green dominated legend, Jim Miller to a unanimous decision victory. He landed 187 total strikes against Miller, throwing 320. If he does this against Pimblett, a man who is very easy to hit, it could be a short night for The Baddy.

Whatever happens in this one, expect entertainment on the UFC 304 main card.
