ONE Championship hits U.S. primetime on Friday, August 2, with ONE Fight Night 24 on Prime Video. The lineup has a treasure trove of martial arts action, including a main event that could net Jarred Brooks the ONE Interim Strawweight MMA World Title. But there’s so much more to enjoy on the lineup.

Before ONE Fight Night 24 gets underway, let’s delve deeper into the card. There is plenty of action to choose from inside Lumpinee Stadium. Here are three must-see matchups from Bangkok, Thailand

Danielle Kelly vs. Mayssa Bastos

ONE Atomweight Submission Grappling World Champion Danielle Kelly has silenced all of her doubters en route to the gold. At ONE Fight Night 24, she can continue to prove to the world she is the best atomweight on the planet. However, the first test will be incredibly difficult.

Mayssa Bastos is a nine-time IBJJF World Champion. The Brazilian has all of the tools to dethrone Kelly and do so in a fashion that proves she is the queen of the atomweights. Bastos’ time to shine is now.

Both women seem intent on proving their mettle on this global platform, and Kelly always brings an aggressive style into the ring with her. The matchup should be thrilling for grappling fans right from the opening bell. The title tilt is a surefire way to keep the summer heat going.

Felipe Lobo vs. Nabil Anane

Bantamweight Muay Thai has been an incredibly enticing division ever since Jonathan Haggerty assumed the throne. Felipe Lobo, who has lost to Haggerty in February, returns to begin his trek back up the ranks. Waiting for him will be Nabil Anane.

The Algerian-Thai athlete has looked sensational as of late. The 20-year-old is on a three-match winning streak, defeating Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai and Nakrob Fairtex by knockout. Adding Lobo to that list would thrust Anane into title contention.

But Lobo has proven his nickname of “Demolition Man” correct on more than one occasion. And he nearly put Haggerty out in their title match earlier this year. The collision of the two exciting strikers has to be among the favorites to take home the Fight of the Night.

Keito Yamakita vs. Yosuke Saruta

Strawweights will take center stage in the main event. Still, earlier in the card, another strawweight bout is worth paying attention to. A dark horse for Fight of the Night could emerge before the interim title is decided. Keito Yamakita and Yosuke Saruta will look to impress the powers that be and keep their championship dreams alive.

After dropping a match to Bokang Masunyane, Yamakita quickly got back in the win column against Jeremy Miado at ONE 166: Qatar in March. The Japanese talent knows he is knocking on the door of becoming a top challenger. Perhaps all that he needs is another dominant finish.

Saruta knows what it is like to hold gold, but regaining the title has proven difficult. The former divisional king has dropped three straight and is in danger of falling even further behind the field. With his back against the wall, expect the Japanese athlete to come with everything he has in the tank.

ONE Fight Night 24 airs live on Friday, August 2, from Bangkok on Prime Video. The action begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The event is free for all Amazon Prime subscribers based in the U.S. and Canada.
