Kade Ruotolo made a successful venture into the world of mixed martial arts at ONE 167 in June. On Friday, November 8, the BJJ superstar will return to ONE Championship against Ahmed Mujtaba at ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug. The lightweight MMA contest will be a stiff test for both men, who are looking at pushing to title contention in the new year.

At ONE 167, Ruotolo was dominant against Blake Cooper. The Atos BJJ star utilized his elite grappling to stifle the Hawaiian and finished via submission in the first round. As he continues developing his all-around skill set, ONE 169 will be a platform to show how far he has come in a short amount of time.

Mujtaba will be out to play spoiler on November 8. The Pakistani has flashed fight-ending ability, no matter where the action is taking place. The โ€œWolverineโ€ has a knockout win over Rahul Raju and a submission win against BJJ star Abraao Amorim.

The lightweight clash will be a measuring stick for where Ruotolo is at in his MMA transition. It will also serve as a massive opportunity for Mujtaba to upset a big-name opponent. While it is a fantastic addition to the ONE 169 lineup, the lightweight collision wasnโ€™t the only bout added to the card.

Former two-sport World Champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao returns against Zhang Peimian in a strawweight kickboxing showdown. Both men are coming off impressive wins, hoping another victory will elevate them into title contention. The kickboxing contest adds even more flavor to an already loaded lineup, giving striking fans another war between elite athletes.

ONE 169 airs live on Prime Video from Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, November 8. The action begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The event is free for all Amazon Prime members based in the U.S. and Canada.
