The UFC octagon touches down on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi again for a stacked UFC 308 card. Headlining the card will be the undefeated featherweight king, Ilia Topuria, who puts his strap on the line against the former long-time champion and reigning BMF champion, Max Holloway. Topuria is coming off an emphatic win last time out when he knocked out Alexander Volkanovski to capture 145lbs gold. At 15-0, El Matador looks to stay undefeated and make the first defence of his belt… it won’t be easy, however. Holloway has put back-to-back knockout victories together for the first time since 2017/2018 having finished Chan Sung Jung and Justin Gaethje last time out. Without a doubt, the knockout of Gaethje at UFC 300 is the highlight reel of the year thus far and he’ll be looking for much of the same at UFC 308.
The co-main event sees a potential #1 contender fight as former middleweight king, Robert Whittaker meets undefeated phenom, Khmazat Chimaev. Whittaker has put back-to-back wins together for the first time since 2020/2021 and will be looking to continue his good form as he takes on Chimaev. The Chechnyan is undefeated at 13-0 having finished 11 opponents. In this potential clash of styles, it’ll keep fans on the edge of their seats throughout.

Elsewhere on the main card, Magomed Ankalaev continues his pursuit of Alex Pereira as he clashes with fellow top light heavyweight, Aleksandar Rakic. Both men are at different points in their UFC careers as it stands with Ankalaev looking to extend a 12-fight unbeaten run as Rakic looks to snap his two-fight skid. Dan Ige returns to face the undefeated Lerone Murphy at featherweight in a clash between two men looking to crack the top 10 of the division. Another undefeated phenom in Shara Magomedov looks to make it 3-0 in 2024 as he meets Armen Petrosyan.
We also have a stacked undercard to get stuck into with the likes of Rafael dos Anjos vs Geoff Neal, Brunno Ferreira, Farid Basharat and the always fun, Chris Barnett all featuring.
