The first Saturday of the month of November is a packed one in combat sports. We’ve got another marathon day of competitive violence before the clocks get set back one hour Saturday night.

Between Cage Warriors, BKFC, and the UFC, you’ll have at least 12 hours of fights to watch this coming weekend. Newcastle, UK is the place to be for bare-knuckle boxing on Saturday afternoon (USA time) Utilita Arena hosts BKFC 68.

Live coverage of Saturday’s event begins at 3 pm ET/ noon PT on the BKFC app. Barring any 11th-hour adjustments to the bout order, the final version of BKFC 68 features 12 bouts. Highlighting the night is a championship doubleheader.

European Heavyweight Championship Up for Grabs in BKFC 68 Main Event Saturday Night

Immediately following the co-main event of the evening for the BKFC UK Light Heavyweight Championship, the BKFC 68 main event shifts the action to the heavyweight ranks. The promotion’s Vacant European Heavyweight Championship serves as the spoils going to the victor of the headliner.

Agi Faulkner (2-0 bare-knuckle, 2-0 BKFC) meets Dawid Oscar (4-1 bare-knuckle, 4-1 BKFC) in the main event. As with all fights in the promotion, the BKFC 68 main event is an advertised maximum of five rounds at two minutes per round to close the show.

BKFC 68 Main Event Fighter Comparison and Betting Odds

Heading into the BKFC 68 main event on Saturday night, Dawid Oskar is the taller man at 6-foot-1, compared to the 5-foot-11 frame of Agi Faulkner. Oskar owns a 68-inch reach, with no such information accessible for Faulkner at press time.

Currently, the oddsmakers have Dawid Oskar installed as a -200 betting favorite on the money line, while Agi Faulkner counters as a +160 underdog. If you plan on betting on this or any other fight happening in MMA or combat sports this weekend, please wager responsibly.

Faulkner With “Home Game” in BKFC 68 Main Event Saturday Night

Agi Faulkner comes into the BKFC 68 main event this Saturday having gone 3-0 dating back to his single MMA fight in 2018. Most recently, he scored a first-round knockout (punches) over Rob Cunningham (2-4 bare-knuckle, 2-2 BKFC) in November of last year during BKFC 55.

In the run-up to this weekend’s card, Faulkner appeared as a guest on the In the Red Korner Podcast, discussing what could potentially lie ahead with a win.

“I’m hoping that I get an American in the top five[of the rankings], big fight,” Faulkner said. “Someone up there on the world stage, top five.”

As far as his plans for the new year, Faulkner has high hopes.

“I want to be as active as I possibly can,” he continued. “Two big fights next year, start pushing. I want a push next year, a big push.”

While Agi Faulkner has his plans for next year thought up, everything will be unraveled should he lose this European heavyweight title bid on Saturday night versus Dawid Oskar. He’s got to take everything one step at a time, and it starts in the BKFC 68 main event, and he’ll be fighting to a partisan crowd in Newcastle.

Will Faulkner give the United Kingdom something extra to cheer about?

Oskar Looks to Spoil the Party

In the other corner, Dawid Oskar has posted a 4-1 mark in his last five bare-knuckle appearances. Back on April 6, he knocked out Conor Cooke (3-1 bare-knuckle, 3-1 BKFC) with a left hand during BKFC 60.

Cooke will appear during the co-main event of the evening on Saturday night for the BKFC UK Light Heavyweight Championship against Matt Hodgson (2-2 bare-knuckle, 2-0 BKFC).

Even though the fans in Utilita Arena will be against Dawid Oskar during BKFC 68, he has to tune out the distractions and the boos. Only time will tell if he’s able to do that.

Analysis, Film Study, and Prediction

There are continental bragging rights at stake in the BKFC 68 main event. Expect an entertaining battle on Saturday night.

Faulkner Can Work Quickly

Agi Faulkner’s fight acumen is predicated on speed. One need look no further than his first BKFC fight in 2022 versus Daniel Robson. Right from the command to fight, Faulkner scored with a barrage of punches, causing Robson to slip three times.

The referee warned Faulkner against a punch to the back of Robson’s head after the third slip, but upon the restart, he landed an overhand right to knock Robson down. Robson failed to beat the 10-count, sealing the Faulkner victory.

If Faulkner comes out swinging in the BKFC 68 main event, he can write a quick finish to the story.

Oskar Can Dish Out The Pain Himself

In the other corner, Dawid Oskar is known to be an aggressor in his own right, as illustrated during his fight last October versus Florian Motte in Liverpool. Late in the opening round, after the referee broke up some clinches, Oskar unloaded on a nasty combination to send Motte down.

Not even the 10-second clapper could rescue Motte on this night. Upon the 10-count being administered, the referee waved off the bout.

If Dawid Oskar lands combinations, he’ll be the new champion.

Final Thoughts

The BKFC 68 main event looks to be a fun scrap to watch. Enjoy this one.

Prediction: Dawid Oskar by First-Round Knockout.
