ONE Championship brings an exciting 10-bout slate to Bangkok, Thailand, and U.S. primetime for ONE Fight Night 28. The evening is headlined by ONE Strawweight Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai defending Muay Thai gold against Ellis Badr Barboza. Still, there will be plenty of action to check out before they make their main event entrances.

ONE Fight Night 28: Sean Climaco vs. Diego Paez
American flyweight strikers Sean Climaco and Diego Paez could be the sleeper match of the night. It will mark their third overall battle, but their first on the global stage in ONE Fight Night 28. In what could be a showcase of American Muay Thai, fans should expect a high-paced firefight in Bangkok.
Climaco showed himself well in his ONE debut at ONE Fight Night 22 against Josue Cruz and even had Johan Estupinan rocked at ONE 168 before losing by TKO. Proving he can compete at this level, Climaco must now get on a roll to challenge the division’s elite. After his first experiences under the bright lights, Climaco promises to redefine himself at ONE Fight Night 28.
Paez enters for his ONE debut, which could bring out the best in him or see him wilt under the pressure. This will also mark his first time in Muay Thai with four-ounce gloves. What can the Californian show and can he get one back on his stateside rival?
ONE Fight Night 28: Felipe Lobo vs. Saemapetch Fairtex
An important rematch is lingering on the bout card at ONE Fight Night 28 and should not be glossed over. Felipe Lobo defeated Saemapetch Fairtex in April 2023 in a stunning upset knockout. Now, the Thai star is out for revenge as both men try to return to the win column.
Lobo made his way to a title shot against then-champion Jonathan Haggerty. He even had the Brit hurt in their match. However, a TKO loss was followed up by a decision loss to Nabil Anane. A win over Saemapetch will reignite the flame for him to chase gold in 2025.
Saemapetch has found life inside the ring inconsistent, not enjoying back-to-back wins since 2022-2023. In his last outing, he lost by TKO to Nico Carrillo. Much like Lobo, Saemapetch needs a big showing to push his way back into the ranking discussion and a standout victory would go a long way to get him where he wants to be.
ONE Fight Night 28: Jeremy Miado vs. Gilbert Nakatani
Flyweights Jeremy Miado and Gilbert Nakatani both feel the pressure to notch a victory, which should mean two athletes intent on putting on a show. With 2025 in full swing, the flyweight division is getting spicier by the week. A highlight-reel win could elevate the winner back into the mix.
Miado was once knocking on the door to flyweight contendership. However, four consecutive losses to the division’s elite thrust him to the back of the line. Miado is in a must-win scenario if he wishes to recapture the magic he had in 2022.
Nakatani lost his ONE debut to Yuya Wakamatsu, who will challenge for the vacant ONE Flyweight MMA World Championship at ONE 172. In that loss, the American lasted all three rounds, proving he can contend with the upper echelon. If Nakatani grabs his first win, he climbs an important rung up the ladder and has a good case for competing against a top-five opponent later in 2025.
