3 Bouts To Watch At ONE Fight Night 29

Lumpinee Stadium will be treated to another exciting event of martial arts action for ONE Fight Night 29. ONE Championship will deliver 11 bouts, capping off the evening with ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues defending her crown against promotional newcomer Marie McManamon. Still, there’s a lot to take in on Friday night.

Looking beyond the main event, there will be plenty of bouts that promise fireworks. Specifically, MMA should shine in U.S. primetime on Prime Video. These are three bouts you will want to watch at ONE Fight Night 29.

ONE Fight Night 29: Shamil Erdogan vs. Gilberto Galvao

Shamil Erdogan will have a quick turnaround for a light heavyweight matchup. Standing across from him will be Gilberto Galvao. As Erdogan eyes a possible meeting with Anatoly Malykhin at middleweight, he is hoping to double down at light heavyweight as well.

Erdogan competed recently at ONE 171: Qatar. However, he did not have to put much effort in with a shocking sub-minute knockout of Aung La N Sang. After resetting, he is right back to work to build on his momentum.

Galvao returns for the first time in over a year and will have all the motivation to test the Turk in all facets of the game. The Brazilian’s ground game could deter Erdogan from taking it down to the mat, and Galvao’s power could threaten at any moment. Although a decided favorite, this will be a stern test for Erdogan and a big opportunity for Galvao at ONE Fight Night 29.

ONE Fight Night 29: Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu vs. Jeremy Pacatiw

Two bantamweight athletes look to officially start their winning streak at ONE Fight Night 29. Both Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu and Jeremy Pacatiw are enjoying back-to-back wins heading into the night. Only one will pick up the coveted third-straight victory.

Baatarkhuu started his ONE tenure hot with three consecutive wins before being derailed by Artem Belakh. The Mongolian has responded with wins over Carlo Bumina-ang and Aaron Canarte to reestablish himself in the chase. One more win would bring him closer to the official ONE athlete rankings.

Pacatiw has already brushed up against Fabricio Andrade, now the division’s king. It wasn’t the result he wanted, but he has rebounded with wins over Tial Thang and Wang Shuo. Three years past his last loss to the division’s king, Pacatiw wants his chance to prove how much he has grown during ONE Fight Night 29 tonight.

ONE Fight Night 29: Banma Douji vs. Joshua Perreira

China’s Banma Douji has had an up-and-down career in ONE, but he is hoping 2025 will put him on the path to success. A newcomer will step foot onto the global stage to prevent that. Joshua Perreira brings in a perfect 5-0 record.

Perreira represents Hawaii but fights out of Columbus, Ohio, and Matt Brown’s Immortal Martial Arts Center. The 27-year-old has shown himself well on the regional circuit but is now ready for the big time. This matchup will be the first test to see if he belongs among the MMA elite.

While a win will not move either man up into title contention right away, it will give them a great starting point in the first quarter of 2025. More importantly for fans, the stylistic clash could garner one of the best action-packed fights of the night. Do not sleep on this flyweight MMA encounter.

ONE Fight Night 29 airs live on Friday, March 7, on Prime Video. The action begins at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST. The event is free for all Amazon Prime subscribers based in the U.S. and Canada.
