Golden Boy MMA: Liddell vs. Ortiz 3

Well, people doubted this would actually happen, but here we are.

Tonight, live from California, Golden Boy Promotions will enter the world of mixed martial arts. In the main event, two former UFC title-holders will meet for the third time as Tito Ortiz faces a returning Chuck Liddell at light heavyweight.

The event takes place at The Forum in Inglewood, California, with prelims going live on Fite TV at 8pm ET before the pay-per-view at 9pm ET – also on Fite TV.

Liddell vs. Ortiz 3 Results

“The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” Tito Ortiz and Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell have one of the most prolific rivalries the sport has ever seen. Once friends, the two went on to partake in a pair of the most highly-anticipated match-ups in UFC history.

They first fought in 2004 with Chuck Liddell knocking Tito Ortiz out early in round two. Two years later, they met again. This time with light heavyweight gold on the line. It was a much more competitive bout that earned Fight of the Night honors, but Liddell finished Ortiz in round three.

Now, twelve long years after their second fight, Tito Ortiz is looking to finally best a man who had his number all those years ago. This, of course, while he has remained active over the past few years with fights under the Bellator MMA banner. Chuck Liddell has not competed since 2010 and has not won since 2007.

The undercard for Golden Boy’s MMA debut is riddled with mixed martial arts veterans, as well as prospects like Deron Winn. We will see the likes of Tom Lawlor, Gleison Tibau, Efrain Escudero, Walel Watson, Jay Silva, and more.

Check out the card below which will be updated with live results throughout the night. Also, the pay-per-view embed courtesy of Fite TV. Order now!
