BJ Penn vs Nick Diaz Set For UFC 137

For 24 hours Nick Diaz was out of UFC 137.

Now, he is back on the card, but not with his original opponent.

UFC President Dana White announced via Twitter that Diaz (25-7, 1 NC) will be facing former UFC Lightweight and Welterweight Champion BJ Penn (16-7-2) at UFC 137 in Las Vegas.

It was announced yesterday afternoon by White that he as pulling Diaz from his fight with Welterweight Georges St.Pierre for failing to show to two press conferences in Toronto and Las Vegas.

Penn who was supposed to face Carlos Condit, who is now facing St.Pierre has not competed since his draw with Jon Fitch at UFC 127.

It is expected that this fight will be the co-main event of the evening.

Not only did the Corner Man call this, but MMASucka asked this question on their Facebook page earlier today. Fans reacted with a lot of “No Ways” and “I highly doubt it”. Looks like they were wrong and we were right!
