Though the light heavyweight has shown his strength before, Crute hasn’t seemed this dangerous in the past. He is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt. If you know him or have seen his fights before, you would understand that he is very comfortable moving around on the ground. In his UFC debut, he showed that with a dominant performance against Paul Craig in 2018 getting a submission by kimura.
This is Krylov‘s second win in a row and he seems to be on a roll at the moment. Going into the fight he was unranked. In the post-fight interview, he gave a nonchalant call out of Nikita Krylov. Krylov is ranked number 9 in the world. He is a seasoned vet and would be a good test for the younger prospect.
Lastly, remember Jimmy Crute is only 24 and has a 12-1 professional record. His potential for growth is boundless. His raw power and fight IQ makes him stand out. He would have no problem becoming a staple in the top 10 of the light heavyweight division.
