Lyoto Machida earned himself a shot at the light heavyweight championship with an impressive KO victory over Ryan Bader.
The UFC President Dana White made the announcement following the main event, where Mauricio “Shogun” Rua finished Brandon Vera in the fourth round. Unfortunately Shogun did not impress the boss as much as Machida did.
As Machida stated in his post fight speech to Joe Rogan, “The Dragon is back!”
