Dom Wooding (8-4) has knocked out every opponent he has beaten, but Brazilian Carlos Abreu (9-3) has no plans on becoming the next addition to that statistic. They will battle for the bantamweight title in the main event of Cage Warriors 132, after an intense weigh-in prompting separation by CEO Graham Boylan. While Abreu is a new signing to Cage Warriors, Wooding recently halted the hype train of previously unbeaten Nathan Fletcher at Cage Warriors 127 with a head kick and punches TKO to win the title.
The co-main event is a bit of a tricky situation as it originally featured a flyweight title fight rematch between Sam Creasey (15-3) and Luke Shanks (8-3). As Shanks missed weight, the fight is now a three-round non-title fight. The fight is an immediate rematch from their battle at Cage Warriors 129 in October, where a back-and-forth battle saw Creasey win by third-round guillotine choke. The Fight Pass stream dropped for the first half of round 2, with the fight favoring a completely different fighter when it returned. A Shanks win would certainly set up a trilogy fight in 2022 for the undisputed belt.
Watch for brothers Michal Figlak and Mateusz Figlak, who are on a lot of top prospect lists in Europe at the moment. DWCS veteran Leonardo Damiani also makes his return to Cage Warriors when he fights top middleweight Jamie Richardson.
