Marcus ‘Lelo’ Aurelio injured, Oselukwue will now face Tiller

On Tuesday evening, the injury bug hit the Bellator cage yet again. This time unfortunately it was a promotional newcomer, as  the Capoeira specialist, Marcus ‘Lelo’ Aurelio was injured in training.

‘Lelo’ (6-1) made the announcement via his official Facebook page.

I was originally scheduled to debut in bellator 73, but due to an injury just 2 weeks before my fight, I am forced to back out of it. I’m sorry to all my fans, but it was a hard desicion to make, but it was decided it would be best that I’m able to perform at 100% and showcase my skills to the fullest, instead of fighting with an injury.

Aurelio made it clear that he wants to showcase his skills to the fullest and he hopes to return at Bellator 75 in October.

With the injury, Amaechi Oselukwue (3-6), will now meet replacement Kelvin Tiller (4-0).

Bellator 73 takes place at Harrah’s Tunica Hotel and Casino in Mississippi on August 24.
