LFA 124 Results

LFA 124 goes down live tonight from the Arizona Federal Theater in Phoenix, returning to the location after just two months. The main event features a longtime UFC contender making his promotional debut against a Brazilian ACA vet, while the rest of the card features prospects throughout.

Jussier Formiga could never quite get a flyweight title shot in the UFC, although he holds a victory over current champion Deiveson Figueiredo. He has not competed in a year and a half, and is riding a three-fight losing streak, but Formiga is still widely considered one of the top flyweights in the world. He will look to work back to the big stage against Felipe Bunes, who has two triangle armbar submission wins sandwiched in between three consecutive losses under the ACA banner. Like Formiga, Bunes will be making his LFA debut. Scheduled to be a bantamweight contest, former flyweight Formiga missed weight by three pounds.

In the co-main event, Afghani finisher Ahmad Hassanzada faces undefeated Kings MMA product James Wilson at lightweight. Hassanzada has never been out of the second round, only going that far twice, holding four submission wins and three (T)KO victories. Wilson went the distance in his LFA debut at LFA 107, his first time going beyond two minutes in his professional career.

Also on the card are undefeated heavyweight prospect Waldo Cortes-Acosta, former standout wrestler Jacobi Jones, and the Fight Ready-trained Kasey Tanner.

MMA Sucka has fight fans covered with LFA 124 results, with the main card airing on UFC Fight Pass starting at 10pm ET/7pm PT, preceded by the preliminary card on LFA’s Facebook page.
