Top martial artists to represent RYU across the U.S. this weekend

August 17, 2012, LAS VEGAS – Today, Respect Your Universe, Inc. (RYU) (OTCBB: RYUN),http://www.ryu.com/, is pleased to announce that this weekend top Martial Artists will be representing RYU at various events taking place across this U.S. including Strikeforce fighters Lumumba Sayers and Sarah Kaufman who will be Main Card fights for Strikeforce on Showtime.

On Saturday, Lumumba Sayers (6-2-0 win/loss/draw record) will be representing RYU for his Main Card fight event when he takes on Anthony Smith (14-7-0 win/loss/draw record) being aired on Showtime starting at 10:00 EST.  On the women’s side, Hiroko Yamanaka will be representing RYU when she takes on Germaine de Randamie along with former Strikeforce Champion, Sarah Kaufman, when she tries to win back her belt from Rhonda Rousey.  Kaufman will be the Main Strikeforce Event of the evening on Showtime with her corners wearing RYU for her weigh-ins, walkout and fight.

Getting underway in the Los Angeles area on Saturday night, will be Ky Hollenbeck – the current four division World Champion and face of U.S. Muay Thai – who will be fighting and representing RYU at the Muay Thai World Standoff taking place in Pomona, California. This will be the biggest and most important fight in international Muay Thai history to-date.

In addition to this, RYU will also be sponsoring the Tuff-N-Uff Fighting Championships “Mayhem in Mesquite”event taking place on Saturday at the Casablanca Resort in the Las Vegas area which showcases the future stars of MMA.  RYU Warrior Athletes will also be making special guest appearances in other parts of the U.S. this weekend including Strikeforce fighter Josh Thomson who will be attending the Grand Opening of the new UFC gym located on Oahu while wearing and representing RYU. Top UFC fighters Jamie Varner and Anthony Njokuani will be attending the Europa Fitness Expo in Texas and sporting the latest RYU apparel and gear.
