“Looking at the top five I like my chances… I want Joshua Pacio!” ‘Mini T’ Danial Williams wants to fight the reigning ONE Strawweight World Champion ‘The Passion’ Pacio. In an exclusive interview with Tim Wheaton of MMA Sucka, he explains, that this bout and moving into the top five keeps him motivated. “It gives me a buzz in training. It just perks me up and gives me that reason to get in the gym and do those harder sessions. Change my lifestyle to be able to do that. Minimize work, live scarcely for a little bit, live poorly just a little bit to get those dreams.”

Danial Williams on his ONE 159 fight and Rodtang
“It’s where I want to be and it’s the best place to get better,” Danial Williams will be taking his third fight of 2022 at ONE 159 on July 22, “I’m an all-or-nothing guy… It’s good to keep regular fights. Especially with MMA I’m seeing some improvement in my skills.” ‘Mini T’ was a Muay Thai fighter who was used to fighting very frequently. In MMA he trying to fight as much as possible to sharpen his skills. Even after this third fight coming up he says he wants to get back in the ONE Circle as soon as possible after defeating Zhaxi Zelang.
Already in 2022 Williams defeated Namiki Kawahara and stopped Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke with a TKO in round two using a body shot. Previous to his run in 2022, he had an electric Muay Thai fight against reigning champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon. Commenting on Rodtang, Williams said, “I’m honored to share the circle with that guy.” The Thai-Australian fighter picked the ONE Muay Thai Flyweight Grand Prix final to be Rodtang versus Superlek Kiatmuu9.

Earlier in 2022, the Muay Thai world champion Rodtang took a fight against all-time great ‘Mighty Mouse’ Demetrious Johnson. It was a mixed rules contest with some rounds being Muay Thai and others being MMA. Williams is a fighter who has crossed over from Muay Thai successfully into MMA like Rodtang has been hinting at. The Australian fighter said he would love to welcome Rodtang into MMA, he explained, “I would love to fight Rodtang in MMA. Five minutes rounds. That’ll be sick… I did come off a short camp when I fought him, I was in the weight division above mine, and I think with a bit of a training camp in MMA I’ll back myself. And I think that’ll be an absolute barn burner”
