Fury FC 68 Results

Fury FC returns to the Cowboys Dancehall to host Fury FC 68 in San Antonio, Texas. With a grand total of 16 fights, Fury FC is bringing all of the action this evening and tonight will surely end in fireworks when Joel Bauman takes on Anthony Ivy

Bauman (6-2-0) is a very talented striker that has garnered a lot of attention for his infamous post fight interview at Fury FC 61. Despite his unpredictability on the mic, Bauman is a serious opponent who is very capable of getting the knockout. Fighting out of Jackson Wink MMA, Bauman has trained with some of the best and has also fought some of the best gaining plenty of valuable experience fighting for LFA, Bellator and even did Bare Knuckle MMA for Gamebred Promotions. After falling short of getting a UFC contract earlier this year in a loss to Josh Fremd at FAC 12: Lookin’ for a Fight, Bauman is looking to make a statement that shows he’s ready for the next level. Anthony Ivy (8-6-0) on the other hand has already made it to that next level once before. After making it to the UFC, Ivy had to face some more experienced fighters getting matched up with Christian Aguilera and Bryan Barberena for his first two assignments. After losing both fights, Ivy hasn’t exactly rebounded since coming back to Fury FC and is now on a 4 fight losing streak. With an overall record of 4-3 for the promotion, “Aquaman” is looking to get back to his winning ways and remind people why the UFC saw something in him.

In the co-main event slot, Lorram Esteves (5-2-0) and Shakeem Richardson (5-5-0) square off for a featherweight matchup that can potentially determine who’s next up for the title shot. With a black belt in BJJ, Esteves is a true submission threat winning all 5 of his fights by way of submission. Esteves holds a record of 3-1 inside the Fury FC cage recently coming off of a loss to Anthony Ivy’s twin brother, Dimitre Ivy. Tonight, he’ll be looking to lock in another choke in 15 minutes or less and make his way back to the win column. Shakeem Richardson showed last time out that he’s ready the moment the fight starts when he got the first round finish against the very tall Cody Walker. Richardson has fought most of his career with Fury FC winning 3 of his last 4 fights and getting the finish in all 3 of those wins. Look for this matchup to end 15 minutes or less as two very talented finishers go at it tonight.

This entire card is stacked full of competition to close out the weekend. With an insane amount of fights, there are plenty of fighters to look out for throughout the evening. Jackson Wink product, Armas Guyton (6-3-0), is looking to set the tone for Bauman and his team with a win tonight. Talented prospects Sam Kilmer (4-0-0) and Isaac Moreno (3-0-0) look to give each other their first loss in their MMA careers. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu phenom Thiago Macedo (0-0-0) takes on a different challenge and makes his MMA debut today. There’s also another young fighter making their pro debut in Elijah Smith (0-0-0).

MMA Sucka will have live coverage on Fury FC 68: Bauman vs Ivy. Starting with the preliminary card at 3:30pm ET/12:30pm PT on Fury FC’s Facebook Page. Followed by the main card at 5:30pm ET/2:30pm PT on UFC Fight Pass.
