Fury FC 69 Results

Fury Fighting Championship makes its way back to Gilley’s in Dallas, Texas to host Fury FC 69: Jones vs. Cutts. After taking a whole month off in-between events, the Texas-based promotion returns with 17 fights to keep everyone occupied this Friday evening. Capping off the night will be a welterweight clash between Austin Jones (12-7) and Evan Cutts (14-5).

Tonight’s main event will be a high-level regional matchup between two welterweights that have a total of 38 professional fights between the two of them. Fighting out of Factory X, Austin “Osmosis” Jones has a very strong striking game like many other fighters from that gym. In his most recent performance, Jones proved how well-rounded he was with a triangle choke in the third round against Armus Guyton. Evan Cutts, on the other hand, already has 9 submissions wins in his pro career and doesn’t look like he’ll stop any time soon. He’s also been tested against some UFC-level competition such as Yohan Lainesse and Ramiz Brahimaj. Now fighting for Fury FC, these fighters are ready to put on a performance that will get them signed very soon.

In a bantamweight division that does not seem to have any boring fights, Isaiah Gutierrez (8-1) and Carlos Vera (11-3) are ready to set the stage and possibly steal the show. Isaiah Gutierrez is a very capable finisher coming off of back-to-back submission wins. He’s also racked up 4 finishes by knockout throughout his fight career and plans to use those well-rounded skills against Carlos Vera. The young fighter out of Ecuador has fought a lot longer than his opponent so tonight’s co-main is a classic battle between the rookie and the vet. Vera trains under Ryan Hall at 50/50 Martial Arts Academy so be prepared for a potential leg lock submission if the fight hits the ground.

Some other fighters to look out for would be Fortis MMA’s Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady (12-3) who went 5-2 fighting for Brave CF. Fury FC vet and former Dana White’s Contender Series contestant Jacob Silva (8-8) attempts to get back to his winning ways. Robert Washington (19-11) returns to the cage for the first time in over 6 years. There is also a key matchup in the lightweight division between Darren Whitney (5-0) and Marquel Mederos (3-1).

MMA Sucka will have live coverage on Fury FC 69: Jones vs. Cutts, starting with the preliminary card at 7pm ET/4pm PT on Fury FC’s Facebook Page followed by the main card at 9pm ET/6pm PT on UFC Fight Pass.
