BRAVE CF 69 Results

BRAVE Combat Federation, a global promotion in the world of mixed martial arts, is set to host BRAVE CF 69 live from Stark Arena in Belgrade, Serbia on Saturday afternoon. The show will be headlined by a lightweight title fight between defending champion Kubanychbek Abdisalam Uulu and Kamil Magomedov.

Fight fans can catch BRAVE CF 69 streaming live and free on the BRAVE CF website beginning at Noon ET/9 a.m. PT. The card will also be available to stream on DAZN.

BRAVE CF Lightweight Championship – “Omok” vs. Magomedov

Kubanychbek is entering his fifth year with Brave CF, promotion in which he is yet to lose. However, as efficient as he has been inside the cage, the Kyrgyzstani champion has fought just five times over his first four years. His lone title defense resulted in a unanimous decision win over Olzhas Eskaraev eight months ago at BRAVE CF 59, however, the defense came with the interim tag. The incumbent champion at the time, Ahmed Amir, had been in the midst of an extended layoff in his own right. Due to uncertainty over Amir’s return to competition, the Egyptian champion was stripped of his belt, leaving Kubanychbek and Magomedov to fight for the undisputed championship.

Per BRAVE CF, Saturday’s title shot was originally meant for Akhmed Shervaniev, who owns a win over Magomedov. However, Shervaniev was unable to accept the bout due to injury, and will be likely be waiting in the wings for Saturday’s winner. Instead, Magomedov will look to capitalize on a golden opportunity to capture a world championship. Magomedov is a ground specialist through and through, having finished all 15 of his wins. Out of those 15 victories, 13 have come by way of submission, meanwhile, Kubanychbek has won most of his professional fights with strikes, though he will be facing a man in Magomedov who has never been knocked out in his pro career.

Rest of the Card

Five more fights will make up this month’s BRAVE CF card. Local favorite and UFC and KSW veteran Darko Stosic will occupy the co-main event when he takes on 9-0 unbeaten heavyweight Shamil Gaziev. The Serbian Stosic carries ample power with him, but he will need to get Gaziev’s attention quickly on the feet if he is to keep the fight standing against the Bahraini fighter. Stosic will also find himself at a near 22-pound weight disadvantage. Saturday also features a super lightweight (165 pounds) collision between Serbia’s Aleksandar Terzic and Croatia’s Patrik Celeic. Both fighters are proven finishers who will be making their promotional debuts.

Another Serbian, Aleksandar Ilic is also scheduled for action against Marcin Naruszczka at a 198-pound catchweight. Ilic is a knockout artist formerly with KSW,  with double-digit knockout wins to his name, and he most recently took a boxing match in Russia against fellow mixed martial artist Magomed Ismailov. He lost the fight by way of decision. Also, Belgium’s Issa Isakov fights Russia’s Ruslan Tedeev in the super lightweight division, and another super lightweight fight between Egypt’s Mahmoud Sebie and  Muhammed Kir Ahmet out of Greece will kick off the show.

Saturday’s show was originally scheduled for eight fights, but injury-related circumstances for Jovan Marjanovic and Yanis Ghemmouri forced their withdrawal earlier in the week. As always, fights and bout order are subject to change throughout the event.
