ONE Friday Fights 6

The Friday Fight series from ONE Championship has been full of unforgettable combat sports action weekly from Lumpinee Stadium. The main event will be a trilogy showdown between Gingsanglek Tor Laksong and Kongthoranee Sor Sommai in a flyweight Muay Thai war. Their series is tied 1-1 but will be complete on February 24. Both fighters will be making their debut in ONE Championship at this event.

Kongthoranee understands that pressure will be key in this matchup. Speaking in an interview with ONE Championship, he explained:

“Gingsanglek has a heavy kick and quick punch. In our first fight, we fought back and forth, but he won by decision. In our rematch, I changed my game to a hit-and-move style, focusing on dodging and trying to hit faster until we came to the fifth round. He walked to me, I found an opportunity to elbow him, and I won.”

The 22-year-old Gingsanglek Tor Laksong will be looking to earn victory in the ONE Friday Fight 6 main event by way of knockout. In an interview with ONE, he said:

“Kongthoranee’s style hasn’t changed much in the past year. He mostly withdraws and waits for a chance to hit, while my style is aggressive with strong punches and leg kicks. The most important thing is that the smaller gloves mean higher risk, so I hope I can knock him out in our rubber match. This fight will end our trilogy. I’ll go all-out so there’s nothing left for us.”

The co-main event of the evening will be a catchweight 141-pound Muay Thai match between Petmanee Sor Jaruwan and Khunharnlek Singha Mawynn. Atomweight Muay Thai strikers Khunsueklek Boomdeksean and Koko Sor Sommai will also square off. Additionally, Petsaenkom Yaicheyseafood is set to face Yodprabsuk Sor Ninthai in a 133-pound catchweight Muay Thai fight. ONE Friday Fights 6 will host several more fights including Muay Thai, Kickboxing, and MMA bouts.
