In the second round of the fight, Fiziev threw a kick with his right leg on Gamrot that resulted in Fiziev going down in pain immediately after the impact. During the kick, Fiziev planted his weight on his left knee to which it was visually certain it had given out.

Due to the injury, Gamrot was awarded a TKO victory via injury stoppage.

Heading into the bout, Fiziev (12-3) was ranked 6th in the lightweight division. He was on a six fight winning streak prior to his loss against recently crowned BMF Champion Justin Gaethje at UFC 286 this past March.

The 30-year-old Muay Thai specialist had earned six straight fight night bonuses prior to his fight with Gamrot.

Typically in the recovery of a torn ACL, it could take about nine to twelve months for a fighter to return.
