BRAVE CF 75: Duque vs. Desmae Results

BRAVE CF, the self-proclaimed only truly global mixed martial arts promotion in the world, is set to break into the Spanish market with BRAVE CF 75. The show will be headlined by a super lightweight bout where local favorite Acoidan Duque will take on Belgium’s Donovan Desmae. In addition to the main event, there will be a five-fight main card that will put some of the promotion’s best European prospects on display.

Fight fans can catch BRAVE CF 75 streaming live on DAZN in most countries beginning at 3 p.m. ET/Noon PT.

Main Event — Duque vs. Desmae

Acoidan Duque is still making a name for himself on the global MMA scene, but already had 18 wins to his name. However, he has begun to ramp up his level of competition as of late, which has resulted in a 2-2-0-1 record over his last five fights. More importantly, though, he put on one of the best performances against an undefeated prospect in Latvia’s Aleksandr Chizov at PFL Europe 2, and scored himself some major points as a riser on the European scene.

With the Chizov victory now under his belt, Duque will take on Desmae, a similarly unproven prospect who has put plenty of good performances on tape. Though he was scheduled twice to fight UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett in Cage Warriors, Desmae does have the credibility of having spent such a sizable chunk of his career to date in the Irish-owned MMA promotion. He is just 3-3 in his last six bouts, but his quality of wins far outweighs the margin of his defeats. He most recently destroyed Aruba’s Jean Marc Howell with a first-round liver kick, and he has the striking to give the Spanish MMA fans a show against one of their own.

Rest of the Card

The co-main event will see Kevin Cordero, another Spanish standout, take on Georgia’s Levan Kirtadze at 145 pounds. Both fighters will be making their promotional debut, but Cordero might be familiar to hardcore MMA fans for his appearances in Combate. Given his age (23), he should have a bright future ahead of him if he can stay the course, but Kirtadze promises to be a tough out for the Spanish fighter.

Elsewhere on the main card, Alexander Mikael will fight Omar Hussein at 165 pounds, Ubay Gonzalez meets Jawany Scott in the flyweight division, and a lightweight bout between Anuar Bensayiid and Quentin Dumont will open the card with what should be an exciting bout. Of this group, the fighter to watch might be Mikael, who opened his career with nine wins but is looking to avoid a four-fight skid despite fighting three of the toughest opponents of his career over that stretch.
