Fury FC 84: Young vs. Richardson Results

Fury Fighting Championships is set to return today with another big event coming off the heels of a UFC weekend in the Lone Star State. Conversely, the Texas-based promotion will see its show emanate from Imagen Venues in Houston, with a main event fight between featherweights Aryion Young and Nate Richardson set to close the show.

Fight fans can catch Fury FC 84: Young vs. Richardson streaming live on UFC Fight Pass for the main card, which is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. ET/2:30 p.m. PT.

Main Event — Young vs. Richardson

Aryion Young is among the most promising names on the Fury FC roster at the moment. The 26-year-0ld is riding a six-fight unbeaten streak, most recently knocking off UFC veteran Carlton Minus with a brutal third-round stoppage. Young has shown an ability to thrive in a slew of different areas of the fight game, and considering the fact that he’s a pupil of Marc Montoya’s at factoryX Muay Thai, more improvements could be on the way for the Oklahoma City native.

He will face a tall task on Sunday in the form of Nate Richardson, a 10-4 veteran of the sport who has alternated wins and losses dating back to 2019. His career took a brief detour after dabbling in successive kickboxing bouts between 2017 and 2019, but while we’ve seen these breaks to wonders for fighters’ skillsets in the past, Richardson is yet to put it all together in a meaningful way. He has fought a stiff schedule, however, competing in LFA, and Fury FC in his last three bouts. He also owns a win over Diego Lopes, a rising star in the UFC featherweight division. Make no mistake, Richardson will be a tough out and could be poised to steal the show come Sunday night.

Rest of the Card

The co-main event will see Cameron Graves, a fan favorite of the Fury FC roster, take on Moses Diaz. Diaz was previously scheduled to compete at a recent Fury Challenger Series show, but now finds himself in an even bigger spot where he can make something of himself. Diaz packs a powerful punch for 145, while Graves is more of a tricky veteran who uses his strengths on the ground to finish fights and prioritize positioning.

Elsewhere on the main card, Eduardo Anaya will take on Brandon Moran on a card that is essentially “movie night” in the featherweight division. Another featherweight bout will see Tony Toro take on Isaiah Diggs, while Donevin Manuel opens the show against George Carpenter.
