On March 16th in Gorzów Wielkopolski, the main event of the XTB KSW 92 will feature a bantamweight title fight in the bantamweight category. The champion, Jakub Wikłacz, will face the undefeated Zuriko Jojua.
KSW bantamweight title fight
Jakub Wikłacz (14-3) will step into his second title defense in the bantamweight category. His first defense ended in a draw against Sebastian Przybysz. “Masa” won this title in December 2022, defeating Sebastian Przybysz by unanimous decision. Previously, Wikłacz had victories over Bruno Santos, Antun Racic, and Patryk Surdy.
Zuriko Jojua ( 9-1) will enter the KSW cage for the third time. In his promotional debut, he defeated Shamila Banukayev by submission in the third round, and in his second fight, he defeated Antun Racic by unanimous decision.
Michał Materla vs. Piotr Kuberski
Michał Materla (33-10) will return to the cage after fighting for the middleweight championship title. During the XTB KSW 89, he faced Paweł Pawlak, but after an exciting fight, he had to acknowledge the champion’s superiority. Michał is one of the most experienced fighters in Poland. He debuted back in MMA in 2003 and has 43 fights under his belt. He has fought in the white ring and circular cage 30 times – more than any other KSW fighter. In 2012, he won the middleweight championship title and defended it four times. The Szczecin Berserker has won 25 fights before the final bell. He has submitted his opponents thirteen times and knocked them down twelve times.
Piotr Kuberski (13-1) has fourteen professional fights to his name, winning thirteen of them. Representing the Ankos MMA club, since 2019, he has remained undefeated. During this time, he won ten fights, won the middleweight championship title in the FEN, and defended it twice. The popular “Qbear” is known for knocking out his opponents. He has won most of his fights before the final bell. He has knocked down his opponents eleven times, and seven times in the first round of the fight. He debuted in KSW in November of last year and knocked out Bartosz Leśko before the final bell.
Maciej Jewtuszko’s retirement bout
Maciej Jewtuszko (12-5) fought his last MMA bout in June 2019, losing due to injury to Vaso Bakocevic. He previously fought seven times in KSW, where he won against Krzysztof Kułak, Vaso Bakocevic (first fight), and Artur Sowiński (rematch), but lost to Artur Sowiński (first fight), Kamil Szymuszowski, and David Zawada.
Marius Žaromskis (23-11) fought for such promotions as Cage Rage, Strikeforce, Bellator MMA, and Dream in his rich career. In the latter, the Lithuanian won the welterweight tournament and became the first-ever champion of this category in the history of the Japanese brand. “The Whitemare” has fought 34 times, winning 23 of them. He has fought in KSW twice so far. In the first fight, he defeated Andrzej Grzebyk, but in the rematch, he had to acknowledge his opponent’s superiority in the cage. Throughout his career, the Lithuanian has competed against such well-known figures in the MMA world as Nick Diaz or the legendary Kazushi Sakuraba. Žaromskis most often wins by knocking out his opponents. He has triumphed in this way sixteen times.
