I have been to a number of live events between mixed martial arts, kickboxing and boxing on every level, from a small-time promotion with less than fifty people in attendance all the way up to a packed house at Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia for the biggest attendance for a televised event in the Ultimate Fighting Championships history.
I have heard all the dumbest things screamed from drunken, belligerent fans from calling the men or women in the fighting circle every name under the sun, all the way up to one man asking UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste to defecate on his chest.
Through all of this, the only thing that fans have ever said that has really got to me is calling the fighters ‘pussies’ and it seems UFC heavyweight kickboxer Pat Barry isn’t a fan either.
When an uneducated fan, probably with a gallon of liquid courage in the pits of his stomach started bellowing insults at the cage, Barry chose to call him out infront of everyone in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The heavyweight slugger put up a video this morning explaining the situation.
