3 Fighters that HAVE to Sign for the UFC

The UFC is the best promotion in the world, with, more often than not the best fighters in each and every division.

With that being said, there are a number of fighters currently competing outside of the UFC who, at some point in their careers must make the jump over to be under Dana White’s regime.

It’s a shame that Michael Venom Page and Kayla Harrison have signed for the UFC so late into their careers as their impact has been strong since joining the promotion. Let’s hope that the UFC look to sign talent before it is snapped up by the PFL or alike.

We take a look at the top 3 options that the UFC have to sign before it’s too late.

3 Fighters that have to Sign for the UFC

Dakota Ditcheva

Without a doubt, one of the hottest prospects in all of MMA, the UK’s Dakota Ditcheva is currently smashing the PFL’s flyweight tournament. At 25 years old, she won the PFL’s European flyweight tournament, finishing all of her opponents via finish.

Sitting at an undefeated 11-0, the PFL are putting a lot of their chips in the Dakota Ditcheva basket, however, it’s time that the UFC did whatever it takes to sign her.

She’s got a very exciting career ahead of her, understands the game both inside and outside the octagon extremely well, is marketable and with breath life into the UFCs flyweight division. Even now, she would likely slot straight into the UFC flyweight division’s top 5 and it’s time that Ditcheva joins the UFC…soon!

Losene Keita

Losene Keita may not be a well-known name for the casual MMA fan, however, inevitably, he’ll be a huge name in the world of MMA in the coming years.

Keita, at just 26 has a record of 12-1 with his only loss coming as a result of a broken leg in his first title attempt back in July of last year. His 12 wins have come predominantly in European promotion Oktagon and eight have come via TKO/KO.

Inevitably, Black Panther will sign for a big promotion, be it the UFC or PFL soon, however, he could be a great addition to the UFC’s 145lbs division. Fighting out of Belgium, there are plenty of fun, all European fights at featherweight for Keita. It’s time for the UFC to make the signing, quickly.

Jordan Vucenic

After missing out on a top CageWarriors talent in Paul Hughes, the UFC will have to act fast if they’re not to miss out on Jordan Vucenic. Fighting out of England, Vucenic is the former CageWarriors featherweight champion and since losing the belt to Hughes, he’s gone 3-0 with three impressive finishes.

At just 28 and holding a record of 12-2, Vecenic hasn’t yet reached his peak and is ready to take the step up in competition. With the PFL hoovering up the majority of the European talent, the UFC must yet again act fast if they’re to get their man.

Other Potential Signings

  • Islam Omarov (15-0, ACA Featherweight Champion)
  • Shanelle Dyer (4-0)
  • Danni McCormack (8-2, Invicta FC Champion)
  • Lucia Szabova (7-0)
  • Fatima Kline (6-0, CFFC Strawweight Champion)
