It looks like Henry Cejudo has some options to choose from in his UFC return.
In February, the former UFC Bantamweight Champion went back on his word when he said he was going to retire with one more loss in the Octagon. That came against #1 contender Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 298 by unanimous decision, but Cejudo is still moving forward in his pursuit to regain the title.
Holding down a spot in the top 5, Cejudo recently fired a warning shot at the #9 ranked Rob Font – calling for a fight with the bantamweight boxer in Father’s Day fashion last weekend.
“Hey @RobSFont My wife told me I need to spend more time with my kids so let’s meet up July 20th at the Apex. Don’t even worry about getting me a Father’s Day Gift-the beating I’m gonna give you will be good enough. Sign the contract hoe,” Cejudo wrote on ‘X‘.

A fighter higher up in the rankings had an even better idea for Cejudo. China’s Song Ya Dong, #7, is the latest to ask for a fight with the former champion, letting the world in on his secret on Saturday.
“I heard China is your lucky land @HenryCejudo,” Song said of the Olympian in freestyle wrestling, on ‘X‘. “You got your Olympic gold medal in 2008. I’m inviting you to come over this year in August, let’s put on a show for the fans. This will be a real show, stop calling out Font!”

Henry Cejudo won the first of his three world titles at the 2008 Summer Olympics, taking home the gold in freestyle wrestling at 21 years old from Beijing, China. The UFC has yet to announce an event in China but there are rumors circulating that the promotion could return to the country later this year, potentially in August.
Song hasn’t fought in China since 2018 with most of the Chinese fighter’s recent appearances coming inside the UFC Apex. Song did fight in Miami his last time out, losing to ex-champ Petr Yan by decision at UFC 299. “The Kung Fu Kid” has won over the likes of Chris Guiterrez, Ricky Simon, Chito Vera and more. What an accomplishment it’d be to add Henry Cejudo’s name to Song Ya Dong’s resume, all at the age of 26.
