3 Matches To Watch At ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon Vs. Nattawut

ONE Championship is rolling out a stacked card for its “tentpole” event this weekend, ONE Friday Fights 81. The September 27 headliners guarantee fireworks, with ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon taking on multiple-time World Title challenger “Smokin” Jo Nattawut in the main event, after Japanese kickboxing superstar Takeru Segawa throws down with Burmese knockout artist Thant Zin in the co-main.

But there are several sleeper fights on the bill at Bangkok, Thailand’s Lumpinee Stadium. Here are three fights that you can’t miss.

Nabil Anane Vs. Soe Lin Oo

The bantamweight Muay Thai battle between Nabil Anane has all the makings of a classic. Not only will it be an intriguing clash of styles when the 6’3 Anane meets 5’7 Soe Lin Oo, but it also pits two of the division’s best finishers against each other.

The towering Anane has two knockouts in his four-straight victories since his debut loss to two-sport, two-weight World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9. The 20-year-old Thai Algerian has surged into the divisional rankings with his win streak, but his next foe will be eyeing a spot in the top five for himself.

Myanmar’s Soe Lin Oo has started his ONE tenure with three-straight knockouts. “Man of Steel” has established himself as a fan favorite on ONE Friday Fights, with his wild, aggressive style spelling certain fireworks.

Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai Vs. Suablack Tor Pran49

Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai and Suablack Tor Pran49 are also among the most popular fighters on the global stage today. The Thai pair will clash in a bantamweight Muay Thai showdown that simply will not disappoint. Kulabdam has been a staple of the division since making his ONE debut in 2019. Known as “Left Meteorite” for his piston-like left hand, the 26-year-old has four knockouts from his seven victories with the promotion.

Suablack, for his part, will be the perfect dance partner for his fellow countryman. The 28-year-old started his ONE career with four stunning knockouts, before extending his win streak. After seeing his run snapped by Kiamran Nabati last time out, expect him to throw caution to the wind once again in search of a place back in the winner’s circle.

Suakim Sor Jor Tongprajin Vs. Otis Waghorn

Another fight that has flown under the radar ahead of ONE Friday Fights 81 is the 140-pound catchweight Muay Thai contest between Suakim Sor Jor Tongprajin and Otis Waghorn. Suakim came to ONE in 2023 with a reputation as one of the most exciting fighters on the Thai stadium circuit. The 29-year-old has lived up to that reputation in four chaotic fights so far. He has yet to see the final bell in that time, splitting his fights 2-2.

Waghorn announced his arrival on the big stage with a devastating knockout win over Kongklai Sor Sommai on debut. The 22-year-old Brit is a highly touted prospect, with speed and power to burn. He and Suakim will undoubtedly meet in the middle in a fight that could steal the show.
