‘Twas the weekend before Christmas and all through South Florida, scales were being tipped for Saturday night’s BKFC on DAZN Hollywood. While the fighters officially weighed in earlier Friday, the ceremonial version of the weigh-ins took place in the evening from Daer Nightclub.
It’s all ahead of the 2024 BKFC finale, the nightcap of a day with no UFC or MMA on the schedule. Live coverage begins Saturday night at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT on DAZN with the prelims. Main card action follows an hour later on the subscription-based streaming service, just a few hours after the anticipated heavyweight boxing clash between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.
No further postponements on the card were needed for BKFC on DAZN Hollywood, so the 11-fight bare-knuckle boxing card remains intact for this weekend. Seminole Hard Rock Casino and Hotel is the setting for the 2024 BKFC finale.
Co-Main Event Fighter Hoping to Win Championship at BKFC on DAZN Hollywood For Family
Two title fights will top the bill during tomorrow night’s main card, including a battle for the BKFC Women’s Flyweight Championship between incumbent titleholder Christine Ferea (9-1 bare-knuckle) and No. 2 contender Christine Vicens (3-0 bare-knuckle.) Upon staring each other down for the cameras, the challenger was given the microphone.
Vicens carries a little extra motivation for BKFC on DAZN Hollywood tomorrow night.
“Man, I want this more than ever. That is the reason right there,” Vicens said, in reference to her family. “Those are two of my reasons, three with my husband. This is bigger than me. God has put me here with a purpose and a reason and I’m ready for it. I’ve been training a long time for this moment right here.”
BKFC on DAZN Hollywood Main Event To Be Watched Closely by Top Contender at 185
Immediately after the championship picture gets crystalized at flyweight, light heavyweight action serves as the focus of the BKFC on DAZN Hollywood main event. Current champion Jared Warren (7-2, 1 NC bare-knuckle) will risk the 185-lb strap against No. 3 contender Mike Richman (6-2 bare-knuckle) in the headliner.
Erick Lozano (3-2 bare-knuckle), nicknamed “El Travieso”, has some interest in the outcome of the main event, given that he and Mike Richman battled last spring in Clearwater, FL during BKFC Fight Night, with the latter scoring a fifth-round knockout. On Friday, Lozano gave his prediction for Saturday’s bout.
“I’m sure Mike is going to win the title this weekend,” Lozano began, “and that’s definitely a fight I want back. I learned a lot from that fight and I definitely want the rematch.”
