During last night’s Misfits event, where Darren Till picked up a knockout victory, KSI appeared to announce his next opponent. The Nightmare is set to meet the former Chelsea and England international footballer, Wayne Bridge.
KSI hasn’t fought since he suffered his first loss at the hands of Tommy Fury back in October 2023. He was scheduled for a 2024 return, however, had to withdraw from the bout due to injury.
As Misfits CEO, KSI isn’t opposed to signing ex-professional football players to his promotion. Danny Simpson headlined MisfitsX17 against Youtuber/streamer, Danny Aarons back in August last year. On that occasion, the footballer and the influencer fought to a draw.

KSI vs Wayne Bridge
This one is very… bizarre. Set to take place on March 29th in a venue that hasn’t yet been confirmed, Wayne Bridge will make his professional boxing debut. For those who are unaware, Bridge was a mid-level professional football player during his time. Debuting at Southampton, Bridge made a big move to Chelsea before eventually moving to Manchester City. He went on to retire at Reading. He made 36 appearances for England having been selected for two world cup squads during his time. It isn’t his boxing debut, however. Bridge competed in a charity fight in 2018, winning via unanimous decision.
We have to question, however… what is the point? KSI has a huge fanbase. Yes, most of his fans will tune in to watch him fight, regardless of the opponent, but, was there no better opponents out there for the Sidemen member? KSI took aim at Jake Paul after Paul fought an old Mike Tyson, however, this is far more questionable. Not that he’s likely to be a world champion, however, this is a massive step back in competition. There are plenty of opponents who KSI could be matched up against that would provide more fanfare.
Darren Till took no damage at all in his bout last night and could make a quick turnaround. Slim Albaher lost his last fight, but still would be a good stylistic match-up for KSI. He’s a fellow influencer, knows the game and it makes a lot more sense than fighting Bridge.

Fellow influencer, Salt Papi is also coming off three straight wins, all of which have come via finish. That would be a far more captivating fight than KSI vs Bridge. Realistically, who is tuning in to see Wayne Bridge compete?
