On the eve of UFC Vegas 103, one final pre-fight exercise needed to be completed. Friday morning, the official weigh-ins were held for the card. Saturday’s schedule for the show is as follows:
Prelims begin the evening at 4:30 pm ET/ 1:30 pm PT on ESPN+ (inside the United States) before moving onto the main card at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT. If you have a subscription to Disney Plus, it’ll be streamed wall-to-wall there, as well.
Originally, the final version of the card was to have featured 12 bouts. This, however, is no longer the case.
Carolina vs. De La Rosa Tilt Postponed Ahead of UFC Vegas 103
A women’s flyweight affair that would have matched Luana Carolina (11-4 MMA, 6-3 UFC) and Montana De La Rosa (13-5-1 MMA, 6-5-1 UFC) to begin the night’s itinerary was postponed on Friday by the UFC amid weight cut issues from the former.
This knocked the bout order down to 11. Carolina’s issues on the scale didn’t make for the only drama on the scales earlier this morning.
Contracted Catchweight Also Called Off On Day of UFC Vegas 103 Weigh-Ins
Ultimately, the final bout order will be trimmed to 10 contests on the evening. Douglas Silva de Andrade (29-6, 1 NC MMA, 7-6 UFC), who was to fight John Castaneda (21-7 MMA, 4-3 UFC) in a restructured 140-lb catchweight, wasn’t medically cleared to compete.
Both fighters weighed in at 140 lbs before the fight was postponed on Friday morning.
Lucas Almeida Comes in 2 lbs. Heavy For Prelim at UFC Vegas 103
While the featherweight undercard bout between Danny Silva (9-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Lucas Almeida (15-3 MMA, 2-2 UFC) will continue as scheduled, the latter weighed in at 148 lbs, over the nontitle maximum of 146 lbs.
Almeida is now subject to a forfeiture of 20 percent of his wages for the fight. Silva, on the other hand, came in on weight at 145 1/2 lbs.
Main Event, Co-Main Event Locked in for UFC Vegas 103
The two fights at the top of the bill on Saturday evening will proceed after a successful weigh-in this morning. Tomorrow’s main event has been officially confirmed after both No. 6 contender Manel Kape (20-7 MMA, 5-3 UFC) and No. 8 contender Asu Almabayev (21-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC) came in at the flyweight nontitle maximum of 126 lbs.

The co-main event is also a go for the Saturday night card with Cody Brundage (10-6, 1 NC MMA, 4-5, 1 NC UFC) and Julian Marquez (9-5 MMA, 3-4 UFC) each weighing in at the middleweight nontitle maximum of 186 lbs.
