BKFC Philly Weigh-In Results: Slight Dust-Up at Ceremony Thursday Night

BKFC Philly is almost here. Friday night, David Feldman‘s promotion returns to Pennsylvania less than two months removed from KnuckleMania V. Thursday evening, the 2300 Arena played host to the ceremonial weigh-ins for the card.

It’ll be a 10-fight card, but one fighter saw his opponent change ahead of the show. John Garbarino (1-0 bare-knuckle) will still make the walk tomorrow night for BKFC Philly, but he does so against a different adversary. Garbarino’s fight vs. Michael Jones (0-1 bare-knuckle) was cancelled.

No reason was given for the cancellation of the contest. In Jones’ stead,  Garbarino will now fight Rayne Wells (0-2 bare-knuckle.)

John Garbarino Smacks Opponent With Cannoli For Second Time at BKFC Philly Weigh-Ins

Just as Garbarino did during the KnuckleMania V weigh-ins less than 60 days ago, he reached into his pocket to grab a cannoli. If you watched the weigh-ins that night, Garbarino swatted away the cannoli.

As the adage goes: “Second verse, same as the first.” He struck Wells with the cannoli after successfully weighing in at 175.4 lbs.

Rayne Wells also hit the scales at 175.4 lbs, making the fight official. All 10 fights are confirmed after Thursday’s weigh-ins. Live coverage begins at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT Friday on YouTube with the countdown show before moving to DAZN at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT for the fights themselves.
