LFA 213 Results: LFA Returns To Tachi Palace

(BREAKING: Arnold Jimenez pulled from LFA 213 main event slot due to illness; matchup vs Rafael De Nascimento has been scratched)

From an electric spinning elbow knockout from Erick Visconde in the main event, to Theo Haig’s first-round rear naked choke that punched his stamp to the Contender Series later this year, LFA 199 at Tachi Palace produced plenty of headlines to kick off the year ahead of LFA 213 on Saturday night.

Formerly the host of the early WEC cards and Tachi Palace Fights, the Lemoore-based resort looks to now become a homestay for the right-hand feeder organization to the UFC.

LFA 213 Gets Two Late Main Event Changes

After Chris Mecate dropped out of his matchup this past Friday against Erick Visconde due to an emergency surgery, bantamweights Arnold Jimenez and Rafael Do Nascimento will now look to be the main event of the promotion’s return to Tachi Palace.

In another crazy twist of events, in what was supposed to be their main event after the Mecate dropout, Jimenez was scratched from the main event slot on Saturday afternoon after a reported illness. De Nascimento is left without an opponent for the evening, elevating Gonzalez & Rosales to the main event.

Rosales vs. Gonzalez in Restructured LFA 213 Main Event

In the LFA 213 main event, former Dana White Contender Series alum Jacob Rosales looks to take on Chris Gonzalez, an 8-3 prospect from Team Alpha Male making his LFA debut. Rosales is 4-2 in his time in the LFA, with his last performance being a first-round neck crank over Georgii Eivas at LFA 208 in May of this year.
