DWCS 77 Weigh-Ins: No Drama on Scales Ahead of Tuesday’s Season Premiere

DWCS 77, the premiere edition of the ninth season of the summer/ early fall MMA series, is almost here. Tomorrow, for the first time in 10 months, MMA fans will be able to come home from work and watch an evening of fights.

One day removed from the UFC announcing that it would end its longstanding partnership with ESPN and move its 43-event package to Paramount Plus and CBS starting in 2026, Contender Series begins its new season tomorrow. As has been the case since 2019, ESPN+ will carry DWCS 77 tomorrow night.

While Contender Series events are normally streamed at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT, opening night will be a little different. Tomorrow night and only tomorrow night, showtime will be an hour earlier than usual at 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT.

UFC CEO Dana White will be seen on DWCS 77 Tuesday night.

Perfect Monday Morning on Scales Ahead of DWCS 77

Monday morning, the official weigh-in window took place for DWCS 77. Unlike the UFC Vegas 109 weigh-in window going into the weekend this past Friday, today’s weigh-in window was one that proved to be routine.

Tomorrow night’s schedule of five fights will go ahead as planned after the weigh-ins took place earlier this morning. Let’s look at the figures from the scales.

DWCS 77 Main Event: Ilian Bouafia vs. Neemias Santana

The middleweights do battle in the DWCS 77 main event tomorrow night. Ilian Bouafia (186 lbs) and Neemias Santana (186 lbs) will lock horns in the fabled Octagon after weighing-in on-target at the division’s nontitle maximum on Monday.

DWCS 77 Co-Main Event: Ty Miller vs. Jimmy Drago

Immediately beforehand, welterweights take to the cage to vie for a UFC contract in your co-main event of the evening at the UFC Apex. Both Ty Miller (170 1/2 lbs) and Jimmy Drago (170 1/2 lbs) came in half a pound under the 171-lb nontitle limit for the weight class.
