DWCS 80 Results: September Slate Starts with Awesome Night at Apex

DWCS 80, the fourth week of the ninth season of Dana White’s Contender Series, is here! Tonight, after a Labor Day holiday weekend that saw the UFC go dark, MMA action returns for a busy first week in September.


Live coverage of tonight’s show begins at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT on ESPN+ inside the United States of America. Internationally, DWCS 80 will be seen over UFC Fight Pass. After a successful weigh-in window on Monday morning, tonight’s schedule of five fights will go ahead without issue.

DWCS 80 Main Event

At the top of the bill later on this evening, the welterweights make the walk to the fabled Octagon when Jack Congdon (7-1 MMA) meets up with Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani (8-2 MMA.) This fight, as well as all fights throughout the season on Contender Series, will be an advertised maximum of five rounds at five minutes per round.

The Octagon will be buzzing for DWCS 78 Tuesday.

DWCS 80 Co-Main Event

Immediately prior to the headliner, the co-main event of the evening sees action take place at middleweight. Theo Haig (6-0 MMA) squares off against Cezary Oleksiejczuk (15-3 MMA.)

Also tonight, you’ll be treated to a lightweight affair between Mandel Nallo (13-3 MMA) and Samuel Silva (13-4-1 MMA), a flyweight fixture pairing Eduardo Henrique (14-2 MMA) with An Tuan Ho (7-1 MMA, 0-1 DWCS) in the latter’s second Contender Series fight in as many years, and a featherweight contest pitting Tommy McMillen (8-0 MMA) against David Mgoyan (7-0 MMA.)

Mandel Nallo def. Samuel Silva by KO (Right Hand to Ground and Pound) at 3:29 into Round 1. Nallo: 12th career first-round stoppage win. Nallo awarded UFC contract. 

Eduardo Henrique def. An Tuan Ho by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27.)

Tommy McMillen def. David Mgoyan by Majority Decision (28-28, 29-28, 29-28.) McMillen awarded UFC contract.
