The second to last iteration of the ninth season of Dana White’s Contender Series, DWCS 85, is upon us. In the main event of DWCS 85, Brazil’s Lucas Caldas takes on the undefeated Magomed Zaynukov. In the penultimate match of the evening, Spanish standout Adrian Luna Martinetti pits himself against Russia’s Mark Vologdin.
DWCS 85 Main Event
Rebounding from the first loss of his career with a resounding first-round knockout, Caldas is looking to punch his ticket to the big show with a win in DWCS 85. A homegrown product of Brazilian fighting promotion Shooto Brazil, the 29-year old has cut his teeth on his country’s stacked regional scene.
Unbeaten as a professional, Zaynukov has only known how to win since making his debut back in 2021. Nearing his prime as a fighter, “Wild Chanco” is more than eager to make his home in the UFC as one of the best in his division should he get a contract in DWCS 85.

DWCS 85 Co-Main Event
Winner of 14 straight bouts, Martinetti has emerged as Spain’s top prospect not signed to a major organization. Across his tenure as a mixed martial artist, the Academia Team Predador product has proven to be a reliable finisher, with ten of his 16 career wins ending inside the distance.
Coming from the famed Allstars Training Center gym, Vologdin remained in the winner’s circle for four years. Winning his last seven in a row, the Russian reached notoriety after capturing the AFN bantamweight strap and defending it twice.
More Bouts On the Card
Rounding out the card, Ultimate Fighter alum Imanol Rodriguez battles Roque Conceição. Then, Luis Felipe Dias locks horns with the undefeated Donavon Hedrick. Finally, Luke Fernandez and Rafael Pergentino duke it out for a UFC contract, and to protect their coveted zeroes.
