Uncovering different ways MMA fans go the extra mile ahead of UFC 323

Fans Have Different Ways of Going The Extra Mile for UFC 323

UFC 323 is fast approaching, and with that, the excitement of the event continues to build to unprecedented levels. A lot of fans can barely wait for the night of the event. What can these eager fans do ahead of the event to go the extra mile and squeeze every last bit of excitement out of this night?

Betting platforms

Of course, with the expansion of online betting platforms, placing a wager online can be a great way of adding another level of entertainment to any event. The internet is a vast place, which is usually a good thing, but it can make choosing the right online betting platform for you a difficult task. There are many different sites that you can visit, all promising different promotions and offers, with some of them using terminology you may not understand. How can you tell which ones to trust and which you should avoid?

Fortunately,  industry experts have already gone to the effort of comparing the differences between legal and offshore betting sites, so you can quickly check what these terms mean, which will be a massive help when it comes to choosing where you prefer to spend your money.

Are you attending in person?

Attending any UFC event in person is the dream, although you may get a better view from watching online. Still, nothing can beat the electric atmosphere of attending the event in person. If this is the plan, there are many things that you will need to consider before making the journey. If you are lucky enough to live in the city where it is taking place, then it will be logistically much easier for you to plan, but for most of us who will have to travel, we will have to decide how and when we will get to the venue. Will it take you more than a day? If so, you’ll have to sort out accommodation, whether that be a hotel or an Airbnb. There is a lot to think about, not to mention the cost of food and refreshments as well, and it can get rather pricey.

Creating a watch party

If you opt to stay at home and watch instead of committing to the journey of physically going to the event, there are still a lot of things to consider. Do you want to be alone, so that you can give the fight 100 percent of your attention? Or would you prefer to try and replicate the atmosphere in the arena and host a party? This could entail different activities as well, like watching highlights of older fights to get yourselves even more hyped up for the fight.

The wide world of video games

Another great way of going the extra mile in order to get excited for fight night could be playing a variety of video games, which can really be a hit in a party setting. What could be better for preparing for the title fight by replicating it on UFC 5? You could even hold your own UFC tournament with your friends prior to fight night, in order to elevate your and your friends’ excitement for the experience.

Tuning in to pre-fight events

To an outsider looking in, they might think to themselves that this is a lot of hype and excitement for a fight that could only last a matter of minutes. But the fight itself is the climax after a long list of pre-fight events. This includes the weigh-in, where the fighters will be weighed in front of a live audience to make sure that they are both in the right weight class. This ritual often entails a little back and forth between the fighters.

There are usually also a few press conferences, which are pre-fight events that are somewhat tamer, where the fighters sit down and answer different questions from the press and from organizers. But of course, this usually devolves into them throwing insults at each other, inevitably having to be held back by their team so they don’t start the fight there and then.

What comes next for the UFC?

It’s a rather exciting time for the UFC right now. The rise of betting platforms has led to a lot more eyes on the sport than in the past. This is coupled to the content from press conferences taking off like wildfire when it gets onto social media. But what does the future hold? That can be a difficult question to answer, because the popularity of the sport depends on tech innovations, but one thing is for sure – the UFC has been a massive part of the combat sport industry for a while now; it has grown into something of a titan, and that doesn’t seem likely to change any time soon.
