Former cruiserweight and heavyweight world champion, David Haye has suggested that there is a huge upset on the cards on Friday night as he has picked Jake Paul to upset the odds and defeat the former two-time unified heavyweight champion of the world and Olympic gold medalist, Anthony Joshua.

Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua

Paul vs Joshua goes down this Friday night from Miami in a fight that has caused plenty of controversy over the legitimacy of the contest.

David Haye Questions Joshua

Talking on The Sun’s YouTube channel, David Haye said:

It seems so one-sided, it seems like every single benefit is outside of the, the psychological side of it with AJ (Anthony Joshua), taking it lightly, I think something dramatic is going to happen”

Haye goes on to say:

“I think, for instance, if AJ’s achilles snaps in the first round, what happens? If he dislocates his shoulder? So there’s a chance this stuff happens. He’s got a new trainer, he’s throwing punches from new angles, something could happen.”

David Haye concluded his point by saying:

“I think something is going to happen. I don’t know how it will happen, but I think it’s going to be the biggest upset in sporting history.”

There’s no doubting that, if (and it’s a monumental if) Jake Paul can pull off the upset, it will be the biggest upset in boxing history. Forget Buster Douglas’ knockout of Mike Tyson, forget Hasim Rahman over Lennox Lewis, this would top them all.
