Josh Barnett vs. Nandor Guelmino set for Strikeforce: Champions event

Josh Barnett will square off against Nandor Guelmino in his final Strikeforce fight at ‘Strikeforce: Champions’ this January.

The fight was first announced by MMAJunkie.com on Thursday.

Barnett (31-6) last fought in the finals of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix where he lost a unanimous decision to tournament winner Daniel Cormier. This will be the heavyweights first fight since May.

Guelmino (11-3-1) will make his Strikeforce debut against Barnett. The Austrian is on a seven fight winning streak, with his most recent being a decision victory over Emil Zahariev at WFC 17 in Slovenia.

“Strikeforce: Champions” is set to take place January 12 at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. Check out the expected fight card below.
