Striking Legends Praise Protege Ahead of ONE Fight Night 39 Main Event

Reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon and Muay Thai legend Nong-O Hama expressed confidence in their protege Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon ahead of his bantamweight Muay Thai clash against Russian knockout artist Abdulla Dayakaev in the main event of ONE Fight Night 39. It goes down in U.S. primetime from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, January 23.

The 22-year-old Thai striker has been honing his skills at Superbon Training Camp and built a four-fight winning streak along the way. Another victory could position him as the next challenge for ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane’s throne.

Superbon praised Rambolek’s warrior spirit and detailed his blueprint for handling the 23-year-old Dayakaev’s dangerous boxing, while former ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion Nong-O predicted his student could capture the title in 2026 with an impressive performance.

Superbon pointed out the heart and mindset that separate title contenders from talented athletes who never reach their potential. The 35-year-old pound-for-pound striking great highlighted Rambolek’s relentless training mentality and competitive fire as defining characteristics that suggest future success.

“He’s a total grinder. He trains incredibly hard. What really impresses me is his ‘warrior spirit’. It’s something you can’t just teach. No matter how tough the task, he’s always game,” Superbon said.

The praise from one of kickboxing’s most accomplished champions reinforces Rambolek’s title-worthy resume while revealing the intangibles that training partners observe daily.

Superbon Provides Tactical Blueprint for Dangerous Russian Challenger

Analyzing the stylistic matchup, Superbon noted the legitimate threat posed by the Dagestan-born knockout artist while expressing confidence that his guidance provides Rambolek the tools necessary for victory. The featherweight champion predicted an explosive encounter with knockout potential for both competitors.

“It’s going to be a banger. Abdulla is a dangerous guy with scary-good boxing, his hands are sharp and heavy. I’ve already given Rambolek the blueprint on how to handle high-level boxers like that. This fight definitely has KO potential for both sides. It’s going to be thrilling,” Superbon explained.

The assessment shows Superbon’s strategic awareness in identifying specific challenges while providing solutions through training camp preparation. The Team Mehdi Zatout representative brings a four-fight winning streak and 8-1 promotional record with six finishes into this bantamweight showdown.

Muay Thai Living Legend Predicts 2026 Title for Rising Thai Star

Superbon isn’t the only one who weighed in – so did his partner in crime, Nong-O, who expressed unwavering confidence in Rambolek’s title potential while highlighting his student’s hunger for divisional gold. The Muay Thai legend revealed that training camp focused on enhancing the young striker’s confidence and power to complement his already exceptional technical foundation.

“He’s very confident. Rambolek has made it clear: he wants the belt. His form is peaking, and his skills are already there. We’re just adding that extra boost of confidence and power. I believe he has what it takes to become a champion within 2026 if he puts on a great performance in this upcoming fight,” Nong-O said.

The bold prediction from a former ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion carries weight, given Nong-O’s understanding of what separates contenders from titleholders in competition. A dominant victory over Dayakaev would validate the hype surrounding Rambolek while positioning him as the clear next challenger for Anane’s throne, making this main event critical for both fighters’ 2026 title aspirations.

ONE Fight Night 39 airs live on Prime Video on Friday, January 23. The action begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The event is free for all Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.
