Striker Plans to Turn Off Dayakaev’s Lights, Secure Title Shot at ONE Fight Night 39

Thai striking sensation Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon boldly predicted he will knock out Russian knockout artist Abdulla “Smash Boy” Dayakaev in the main event of ONE Fight Night 39 on Friday, January 23, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Superbon Training Camp representative dismissed his opponent’s punching power while emphasizing his diverse stand-up arsenal and superior speed advantages heading into this critical bantamweight Muay Thai showdown.

Rambolek declared he will shut off the Dagestan-born striker’s lights and seemed optimistic that a victory would position him for a title opportunity against Dayakaev’s Team Mehdi Zatout stablemate, ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane.

Rambolek Dismisses Russian’s Punching Power

Analyzing the stylistic matchup, Rambolek downplayed his opponent’s dangerous reputation by suggesting the Russian relies exclusively on boxing without the complete skill set. The Thai striker pointed out his well-rounded Muay Thai weaponry and speed advantages as decisive factors in determining the outcome.

“Dayakaev’s fighting style? Punches, nothing more. His strengths include his powerful strikes and the punches. The advantages I have include my variety of Muay Thai weapons. I may have better speed compared to him, too. All he has is his punch, while I am equipped with everything,” Rambolek said.

It’s quite clear the Thai contender believes his traditional Muay Thai techniques will overwhelm Dayakaev, despite the Russian achieving so much success through his boxing-heavy approach.

Superbon Protege Promises to Reverse ‘Smash Boy’ Nickname

Taking his verbal assault further, Rambolek issued a bold finishing prediction while playing on his opponent’s “Smash Boy” moniker. The 22-year-old, who is the protege of ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon, vowed to deliver the knockout blow before the Russian challenger can unleash his dangerous power.

“The ‘Smash Boy’ wouldn’t be able to smash me because he will be smashed by me first. In our fight, I will put his lights out,” Rambolek said.

Rambolek’s recent string of success highlights his ability to dominate his adversaries and knock them out. In fact, his four-fight winning streak includes the phenomenal second-round TKO victory over Russia’s Dmitrii Kovtun, proving he possesses the power to back up his bold predictions against dangerous opposition.

Thai Star Eyes Championship Opportunity Following Title Eliminator

With an eye on what lies ahead, Rambolek detailed his title aspirations and acknowledged that a dominant victory over Dayakaev represents a necessary step toward earning a title shot. The Thai contender expressed belief that an impressive performance would secure an opportunity against Anane for the 26 pounds of gold.

“My biggest goal is being a champion. For now, I just need to focus on this fight. If I ever get through this, I think I might get a chance to get [a shot at the] championship. If I get my victory in this upcoming fight, I think there is a chance that I will get to fight with Nabil,” Rambolek explained.

ONE Fight Night 39 airs live on Prime Video on Friday, January 23. The action begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The event is free for all Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.S. and Canada.
