UFC 324 Pre-Event Tidbits: Lightweight Strikers Battle in Anticipated Headliner

At the T-Mobile Arena in Enterprise, NV this weekend, the UFC makes its triumphant return to television screens around the world following a brief holiday break. Backed by a brand-new streaming partner, Paramount Plus, the premier mixed martial organization in the business is setting the table for a magnificent show with their much-anticipated UFC 324 event.

Taking top billing on the card at UFC 324, lightweight titans Paddy Pimblett and Justin Gaethje duke it out for interim gold in what is looking to be a thrilling main event clash. In the co-main event, former bantamweight king Sean O’Malley will test himself against Chinese striking whiz Song Yadong.

Now, here are some interesting pre-event tidbits about the main card for UFC 324:

UFC 324: Arnold Allen  vs. Jean Silva

Arnold Allen

Entering UFC 324, Allen has been in the UFC for over a decade, first making his promotional debut back in 2015 at UFC Fight Night 69. He once held the third longest winning streak in UFC featherweight history with 10 straight victories.

He has gone 2-2 in his last four bouts.

Jean Silva

Jean Silva has picked up four post-fight bonuses in six of his UFC fights. He is coming off a loss to Diego Lopes after previously winning 13 consecutive contests.

This will be the first time he has competed at a numbered organizational event since UFC 314 back in April of last year.

UFC 324: Natália Silva vs. Rose Namajunas

Natália Silva

Silva is currently ranked at the No. 2 spot on the UFC’s women’s flyweight rankings, as well as fourth on the overall female pound-for-pound list. Coming into UFC 324, she has not lost a scrap since 2017, putting together a massive 13-bout winning streak.

She has fought in Las Vegas in four of her last six promotional appearances.

Rose Namajunas

Namajunas is a former two-time strawweight champion with victories over Joanna Jędrzejczyk, Jéssica Andrade and Zhang Weili. She is 3-2 in the flyweight class since moving up to the division in 2023.

Seven of her 14 wins as a professional have come by way of finish

UFC 324: Waldo Cortes-Acosta vs. Derrick Lewis

Waldo Cortes-Acosta

Cortes-Acosta enters UFC 324 in a four-way tie for the most bouts in a year in the UFC at five, holding that record alongside Kevin Holland, Neil Magny and Roger Huerta. He was the most active heavyweight in the company in 2025.

Waldo Cortes-Acosta has been a part of the UFC roster since 2022. He is 4-1 in his last five tilts, winning three by stoppage.

Derrick Lewis

Lewis holds the record for most knockouts in UFC history at 16. He is the most experienced fighter competing on the main card with 42 fights.

UFC 324: Sean O’Malley vs. Song Yadong

Sean O’Malley

O’Malley once held the bantamweight championship and defended once. He has notable wins over divisional greats such as Marlon Vera, Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling.

He has not won a bout since he retained his belt against the aforementioned Vera at UFC 299 back in 2024

Song Yadong

Song Yadong has earned six post-fight bonuses, including five Performance of the Night awards, ahead of UFC 324. He has notably fought just twice over the past two years.

He has been in the UFC since 2017.
