Raphael Assuncao broke his arm in the first round against Mike Easton at UFC on FOX 5

Many of the fans inside the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington at last nights UFC on FOX 5 card were booing extremely loud during the Raphael Assuncao vs. Mike Easton fight.

The two came into the fight as serious contenders in the bantamweight division, especially with Dominick Cruz being sidelined for the next 6-9 months.However, their lacklustre performance had fans thinking otherwise.

Assuncao took to Twitter late Saturday evening and revealed an injury that occurred early in the fight.

“Broke my arm in the first round ! Thought it was a muscle spasm at first but was broke…no excuse lets keep the improvements + recovery on.”

Assuncao pushed himself through the remaining two rounds to earn himself the unanimous decision victory.

UFC on FOX 5 went down from the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington.
