Ricci, Smith, Ellis and Manley win TUF 16 $25k bonuses

During Saturday nights Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, the UFC announced the winners of $25,000 for the season bonuses.

Even though Mike Ricci lost in the Finale to Colton Smith, he brought home the $25k bonus for the seasons best knockout. He won the award for his semi-final finish against Neil Magney.

Smith and Eddy Ellis won for the season’s best fight. They duked it out in the elimination round to make it on the show and Smith ended up winning a unanimous two round decision. Many believed the back and forth battle should have gone to a third round.

Jon Manley won the season’s best submission for his guillotine choke against James Chaney in the opening round. There was no surprise with this one, as Manley’s submission was the only one of the fourteen fights this season.
