Michael Bisping vs. Alan Belcher set for UFC 159 co-main event

The UFC 159 card has been coming together quite nicely over the past couple of days and the co-main event has now been set. Michael Bisping will return to the octagon against Alan Belcher in a middleweight showdown.

UFC officials confirmed the match-up and ESPN.com initially reported it.

Both fighters are looking to rebound from losses and get back in the win column.

Bisping (23-5) was one win away from getting a crack at the UFC middleweight championship, however in the main event of UFC on FX 7, Vitor Belfort knocked that dream away.

Belcher (18-7) was also inching ever so close to title contention and was riding a four fight winning streak, before being derailed by Yushin Okami at UFC 155. That was Belcher’s first loss since 2009 at UFC 100.

UFC 159 is set for April 27 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The main event is for the UFC light heavyweight championship, as TUF 17 coaches Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen go to war.
