Rumor: UFC 161 expected to take place in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Just last week Jake Shields announced that he would be squaring off against Tyron Woodley at UFC 161 in Canada. The rumor mill started floating around naming numerous Canadian cities that the event could take place. Topping the list were Edmonton, Calgary and even Vancouver.

Well, according to Gary Lawless of the Winnipeg Free Press the UFC will make an announcement on Tuesday regarding UFC 161 in Winnipeg.

Joining Shields vs. Woodley on the UFC 161 card according to Tatame is Mauricio ‘Shogun’ vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Dan Henderson vs. Rashad Evans.
