Vitor Belfort knocks out Luke Rockhold with spinning back-kick at UFC on FX 8 main event

One of the sports best in Vitor Belfort continued his legacy in his main event match against Luke Rockhold.

A one minute feeling out process started the fight, but a flurry proceeded by Belfort. Rockhold threw some fantastic punches, but Belfort utilized a spinning back-kick that dropped Rockhold. Second time is a charm for “The Phenom” as he threw the same kick earlier in the round. He followed up with some fantastic ground and pound to force the referee to stop the fight.

In his post fight speech Belfort said “I’m stronger than ever,” he went on to say that he will be rooting for Anderson Silva against Chris Weidman.

Belfort is 9-2 over his last eleven fights with his only two losses coming to UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. Prior to the Rockhold fight, Belfort surprised fans by TKO’ing Michael Bisping with a beautiful head-kick in January.
