T.J. Grant beats Gray Maynard by first round TKO

Number one contendership was up for grabs in a lightweight tilt between Canadian TJ Grant and former divisional contender Gray Maynard.

It took less than a round for the UFC’s lightweight division to gain their next number one contender. Maynard utilized his speed to land some serious punches in the first minute, but Grant was able to weather the early storm and land a beautiful combination of his own.

Midway through round one, Grant was able to drop Maynard and follow up with some serious ground and pound to force the referee to stop the fight.
