Fight Network signs multi-fight deal with M-1 Global, first show on August 21st

Toronto – Fight Network, the world’s premier 24/7 television channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports, has signed a multi-fight deal with M-1 Global, kicking off with a live broadcast of M-1 Challenge 41 tomorrow – Wednesday, August 21, at 12 p.m. ET from St. Petersburg, Russia.

Fight Network’s live HD broadcast of M-1 Challenge 41 will be aired nationwide in Canada, as well as internationally as part of Fight Network’s expansion on ZON in Portugal, D-Smart in Turkey, and ZAP in Angola and Mozambique.

Headlined by a clash for the M-1 Global 65 kg world championship, Russia’s own Yuri Ivlev (18-7) takes on undefeated Ukrainian prospect Marat Gafurov (7-0).

In addition, M-1 Global will stage the semifinals of the 2013 heavyweight grand prix with Latvian Konstantin Gluhov (26-12) taking on Estonian Denis Smoldarev (5-0), plus Frenchman Chaban Ka (6-1) looks to end the perfect professional run of Poland’s Marcin Tybura (7-0).

In other featured bouts, Zulfikar Usmanov (4-1) meets Mansour Barnaoui (8-2), plus Mikhail Malyutin (25-10) battles Georgi Stoyanov (15-2).

Three hours of live action is expected for the afternoon broadcast.
