Wang Guan keeps his belt, Caporal’s win streak continues at RUFF 10

RUFF10Their first encounter ended in a decision, but that feat was not to be repeated at the Shanghai Hongkou Stadium. The always dangerous Wang Guan (11-0-1) finished his opponent Sandro da Silva (3-2) in the first round, en route to retaining his 145-lbs title. Guan continues to possess an unblemished professional MMA record and it remains to be seen just who will be able top this Chinese phenom who’s on a tear with a nine fight win streak.

The same could be said for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace Rodrigo Caporal, who improved to 9-4 following this past Saturday’s RUFF 10 co-main event in China. The 30-year-old may have been threatened on a couple of occasions by his Russian counter-part, Rasul Khairulaev (1-1), but he had clearly done enough to get his hand raised in the end.
